Charges against a local attorney, suspected of shooting his wife, will be amended Monday, according to the District Attorney's office.
Mark Madrigali will be charged with first-degree murder after his wife, Trivia, died from her injuries last week, officials said.
Madrigali was arrested June 12 on suspicion of shooting his wife at their northeast Bakersfield home. He pleaded not guilty to charges of attempted murder, assault with a firearm and spousal abuse.
The district attorney's office also will ask for an increase in Madrigali's $1.5 million bail.
