Firefighters are investigating a fire early Sunday morning that torched seven parked vehicles in Oildale.

Jesse Whitmore sent 17 News cell phone video he took of the fire.

Whitmore says he was at home when he heard a bang just after 4 a.m. Sunday.

He says he walked outside and saw seven vehicles engulfed in flames on Blue Mountain Way, near 7th Standard Road and Merle Haggard Drive.

Tyler Thompson said his girlfriend's car was destroyed by the fire.

"We get a knock on the door and someone's telling me there's a fire outside and I'm like okay, put on some clothes and came outside and see a row of cars completely ablaze. We shouldn't keep our cars out here. We shouldn't keep our cars out here if this happens. It's just kind of scary," said Thompson.

One woman 17 News spoke with, whose car was destroyed by the fire, said she lost valuable items she needs on a daily basis.

"I lost my stroller, the car seats, clothes, toys, everything. I lost everything. I never thought anything like this would ever happen outside my own home. That many cars being blown up, six feet in the air," said Heather Warkentin.

The fire is under investigation.
