Fewer Californians are supporting the High-Speed Rail project according to a new poll and the Los Angeles Times.
Even though voters approved nearly 10 billion dollars in state bonds to pay for the first phase of the project which would go through Bakersfield. A new survey from the Public Policy Institute of California found that they remain divided over the proposal.
Just 43 percent say they favor the project while 54 percent say they are against it.
Earlier in the week, the High-Speed Rail Authority authorized the sale of more than 8 and a half billion dollars in bonds.. that will help fund the first part of the railway.
