Bakersfield Congressman Kevin McCarthy watched Paul Ryan's speech Wednesday evening and is ready for Mitt Romney's address.
Fact checkers have had a field day breaking down at least five inaccuracies or misleading elements in Ryan's speech.
Ryan said a GM plant in Wisconsin that President Obama promised to keep open, eventually closed.
"I take it as it is transcending the campaign. It's really taking us from politics to policy. I think we can debate every line there, and Paul Ryan can backup each one," said McCarthy.
The truth is, the President never promised that and the plant closed under President George W. Bush.
"If you look at the time it was closed, he laid out an economy, that this president has continued to fail," said McCarthy. "This President has had four years. This President just has not communicated enough. We look at the numbers for the jobless continuing to grow, and Paul Ryan looks at a different future."
Ryan also argued that President Obama 'funneled' $716 billion out of Medicare to pay for the new health care reform law. That's true, but Ryan's own budget relies on those same savings.
"When Paul Ryan writes a budget, he has to go with what is factual today. Because Obama stole $716 billion, that is the facts of where we stand today. So, he writes a budget moving forward," said McCarthy.
