BAKERSFIELD, CA. - The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for help from the community in locating a suspect wanted for robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, burglary, criminal threats, vandalism, and other charges.
According around 8 a.m. on Nov. 24, the suspect entered the Thrifty Wash Laundromat on Niles Street and demanded $5 from the owner, claiming she had lost the money at an earlier date.
The suspect, described as a woman between 18 to 26 years old, also had a 2-year-old child with her at the time of the incident.
According to BPD, the suspect attacked he victim with a knife and vandalized the business, causing $2,800 in damage, and took $5 from the victim before leaving the scene.
