CAPK distributing food to drought-affected Kern County residents

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Community Action Partnership of Kern Food Bank will be distributing boxes of pre-packaged food to drought-affected families through September.

CAPK says that those eligible to receive a box of food will be asked to self-certify that they live in a household where drought conditions have caused underemployment or unemployment.

The nearest food assistance locations can be found by dialing 211.
