BAKERSFIELD, CA -- County supervisors will discuss an agreement with the city to build a soundwall on the Westside Parkway.
The city is asking the county for $250,000 to help with the construction. Earlier this month, homeowners near the path of progress got their first look at plans to address noise concerns that new traffic will produce.
The city planning department is proposing to extend the block wall, on the Westside Parkway starting at Jenkins approximately 1,100 to the east and providing a chain link fence with a vinyl privacy screening.
Supervisors will consider the request at a board meeting Tuesday.
