Two people are dead and two others injured, after a flatbed truck crashed into a Honda Accord in Delano Saturday morning.
Authorities were called out to Pond and Driver Roads just before 11 a.m.
A farm worker on scene said he saw the accident and called 911.
When authorities arrived, they found the Ford flatbed on its side and the Honda Accord nearly unrecognizable.
CHP officials say the driver of the Honda, Emmanuel Alfaro, was headed eastbound on Pond Road when he ran the stop sign.
The driver of the flatbed was traveling southbound on Driver Road when he struck the car.
28-year-old Alfaro and his 27-year-old passenger Veronica Alfaro, both from Mcfarland, died at the scene.
"Upon impact the driver was not restrained and was immediately ejected and the passenger of that passenger vehicle was also killed upon impact," said Robert Rodriguez, California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials say the driver of the flatbed truck, 24-year-old Fernando Felix and his passenger, 23-year-old Billy Crumm, both from Delano, were taken to Delano Regional Hospital with minor injuries.
CHP officials want to remind drivers to be extra cautious driving on two lane roads in between orchards.
Officials say drugs or alcohol don't appear to be factors in the crash.
