BAKERSFIELD, CA -- Kids across Bakersfield will have to find a new way to help stay cool starting next month. At a water board meeting Wednesday afternoon, Water Resources Department Manager Art Chianello told the board, the water at all 9 Bakersfield spray parks will be shut down as of August first.
The city is expected to upgrade to a Stage 3 drought condition to comply with the new regulations.
