BAKERSFIELD, CA -- Bakersfield police say Officer George Vasquez noticed a man who looked similar to the composite sketch in the area of Oak and Sunset Streets Friday. Carlos Delgado, 26, of Bakersfield was interviewed and identified by the victim. He was booked into the Kern County jail for assault with the intent to commit rape.
Police say the incident happened Thursday just after 4:00 p.m.
Police say a woman was walking near the intersection of Oak and Palm Streets when she was grabbed from behind. The woman was able to escape.
The man is in his mid-20's, 5'10, thin build, with long brown hair. Anyone with information is urged to call 327-7111.
