BAKERSFIELD, CA -- SWAT officers from Tulare County were searching for evidence in east Bakersfield Wednesday morning, in their investigation into a deadly home invasion robbery last month.

The officers served search warrants at three homes in the 2000 block of Pictoria Drive, off Niles Street and Fairfax Road.
In the same area last week they arrested one man who they say was involved in the home invasion robbery and gun battle.  It happened on May 27, when officials say a group of men broke into a home in Orosi. "A gun battle ensued in the residence. One of our victims who is 22-years-old, engaged our suspects. One suspect succumbed to his injuries from the gun battle. The victim who is 22 also received multiple gun shot wounds and is recovering. An additional suspect also received multiple gunshot wounds and is recovering currently in one of our facilities. He is being held to answer the charges of murder, attempted murder, home invasion robbery and criminal street gang activity," says Lieutenant Mark Gist, Tulare County Sheriff's Department.

Officers believe one or more men involved may still be out there, and they are continuing to gather evidence to tie those people to the case.
