BAKERSFIELD, CA -- Two Bakersfield men have been arrested in connection with a break-in at a tobacco store in
southwest Bakersfield, police said Wednesday.

Mickey Pulley and Chaves Stills, both 26, were arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession of burglary tools, conspiracy and resisting arrest, according to Sgt. Joe Grubbs, public information officer for the Bakersfield Police Department.

The break-in took place early Wednesday at Prince Cigarettes, 3416 Stine Rd., Grubbs said in a news release.
BPD officers discovered the break-in after responding to a silent alarm at 1:42 a.m.

When they arrived at the business, officers noticed the front window was smashed, and saw two people using bolt cutters to cut off the lock to the interior steel gate.

The suspects ran away, but were arrested in the 4600 block of Beechwood St., Grubbs said.
