BAKERSFIELD, CA -- Bakersfield police are searching for two men they say smashed a car window to steal a backpack Wednesday from a car parked on Bernard Street.
Police describe the first suspect as a Hispanic man, 18-22, thin build, wearing a blue t-shirt with white “DCSHOECO” letters on the front, blue jeans and a dark ball cap worn backwards.
The second is described, as a Hispanic man, 18-22, thin build, wearing a white t-shirt and jean pants. Police say the pair
entered the Rusty’s Pizza restaurant at 40 Bernard St. and dined.
After leaving, suspect #1 approached the victim’s vehicle, smashed the front passenger window using a hammer and removed the victim’s backpack.
Police say the suspects fled a 1990’s blue Chevrolet pickup.
