BAKERSFIELD, CA -- An update to a story we brought to you last month about a pair of young boxers competing in a national championships tournament in Missouri.
Fifteen-year-old Miguel Contreras and 10-year-old Richard Salcido both train at the Bakersfield Police Activities League boxing program, in east Bakersfield.
Kyle Ursery with PAL tells 17 news they both took 2nd at the national silver competition..
They both won their first two matches.
But lost on judge's decision in the championship bouts.
