Hundreds of KGET viewers shared their opinions of supermodel mom and NFL wife Gisele Bundchen's so-called multitasking photo. Dozens of local moms, and even a few dads, posted their own versions. From a morning routine of getting seven kids ready for school, to working while wearing a baby, there are many variations of multitasking moms.
It's just after 6 a.m. and the sun is about to rise over Bakersfield. It seems like a quiet a peaceful morning but not in the Boyle-Valencia household. Everyone is wide awake.
Angela Boyle-Valencia said, "From 6:15 a.m. to 7:15 a.m. this is all we're doing."
Boyle-Valencia has a full house, taking care of her four kids and three nieces and nephews.
"I wouldn't change it for the world. I've got the extra three, my nieces and nephews, I call them my kids. They keep me busy. They're my purpose. They're what I do," said Boyle-Valencia.
With only an hour to get everyone ready for school, there's no time to waste.
"Everybody's running around. It always changes. We run out of something that we don't have that one of the kids wants. Some times they don't even want to get up out of bed. Sometimes their jacket's missing, they left it at school, I gotta find another jacket for them to wear," said Boyle-Valencia.
Even with the chaos, they make it out of the door right on time.
Meanwhile, Brooke Tawanna is just getting her day started.
Tawanna said, "Usually we'll wake up around 7:00 if we're lucky. A little bit earlier sometimes, depending on her mood for the day."
Once 19-month-old Quinn is awake, it's go time.
"I'm doing laundry, I'm doing dishes, I'm vacuuming, I'm trying to get work done if I have deadlines to meet," said Tawanna.
She does it all with her daughter on her back.
"I do wear her quite frequently and it's really helped me to keep up a little bit of normalcy."
Whether it's a supermodel, a stay at home mom with seven kids, or a working mother, these women can all relate to one thing.
"It's the hardest job you'll ever have and you don't realize it until you become a mom, that your life just changes in an instant and you just make it work," said Tawanna.
