TAFT, CA- The California Highway Patrol said drunk driving is to blame for a fatal motorcycle accident in Taft..
The accident happened Saturday around 10:30 p.m. on Highway 119, north of Midway Road.
CHP officers say Ronald Marshall Junior, 31, was driving a Suzuki motorcycle with Christopher Dross, 29, of Bakersfield as a passenger.
Officers say Marshall veered off the road and collided with the guardrail, ejecting Dross from the bike. Dross died at the scene.
Marshall was arrested booked in the downtown jail on various charges including first degree murder, and DUI.
He's expected in court in Lamont Tuesday morning.
