A car has gone over the Panorama bluffs but the Bakersfield Police Department says when rescuers arrived no one was inside.
The car was discovered off Panorama Drive and River Boulevard around 3:30 this morning after a jogger along the bike path called 911. Rescuers searched the vehicle and didn't find anyone inside. Dispatchers launched a the Sheriff's helicopter to search but came up empty handed.
As of this morning, officers were trying to contact the car's owner to make sure he or she is okay and to determine if the car might have been stolen.
