BAKERSFIELD, CA -- Kern County District Attorney Lisa Green says Jerome Henderson was convicted Monday of 2 counts of human trafficking involving a 13-year-old victim. Prosecutors say it's the first human trafficking case in Kern County under the state's enhanced sentencing guidelines under the passage of Proposition 35.
Green says Henderson faces a maximum sentence of 32 years 8 months in state prison when is formally sentenced September 24, 2013. The case was prosecuted by Kern County Deputy District Attorney Dianna Carter.
