A small Piper Cherokee plane carrying three people made a crash landing in Tehachapi Saturday evening.
The accident happened in a grass field around 4:45 p.m.
The Kern County Sheriff's Department is investigating the accident.
The three passengers suffered minor injuries.
"Primarily minor injuries, cuts and lacerations. One had a few fractures," said Leland Davis, Kern County Fire Department.
"There was no fire at this accident. Two patients refused transport to the hospital."
It's still undetermined why the plane crashed.
The NTSB and the FAA are also investigating.
