Supervisor Leticia Perez is set to host a town hall meeting Wednesday night in Lamont to update residents about the embattled Community Recycling and Resource Recovery Facility.
In October 2011, 2 workers were killed by toxic fumes while working on a drainage canal at the facility in Lamont.
A month later, Kern County Supervisors revoked the facility's operating permit and fined the owners. A judge then ruled the facility could temporarily stay open.
In a news release, Perez noted several unspecified developments.
The meeting is Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the David Head Center located at 10300 San Diego Street in Lamont.
