Two inmates walk away from Taft Correctional Institution

TAFT - Two inmates were discovered missing during a head count Saturday at the Taft Correctional Institution.

Roger Rogelio Salcedo, 39, was transferred to Taft in May 2012 from the Federal Correctional Institution in Terminal Island. He was sentenced in 2003 to 20 years in prison for conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

Salcedo is 5'7", 220 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. He has several tattoos.

The second inmate, Juan Parra, 25, was sentenced last year to 121 months in federal custody for conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance. Parra is 5'11", 230 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes.

Taft Correctional Institution is a minimum security facility with no security fence. It houses approximately 550 federal inmates.
