Bakersfield Police are calling it an assault and kidnapping.
Detectives say that on July 4, about 10:30 p.m. a woman was walking her dogs in the 8200 block of Camino Media, near Gosford Road, when a man grabbed her around the waist from behind. The woman was able to fight the man off and escape, unhurt.
The woman was not able to get a good look at the man, but says he was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.
