ROSAMOND, CA--The Highway Patrol says Roberto Fajardo was driving a broken down vehicle that was being pushed by a Chevrolet pickup northbound on Sierra Highway near Marie St in Rosamond Thursday night. As the vehicle, with an unknown driver was being pushed, there was a 33-year-old man riding upon the trunk area of the disabled vehicle. It's unclear why the man riding upon the trunk area of the pushed vehicle fell or jumped off of the vehicle.
This person was subsequently run over by the Chevrolet pickup. Prior to the arrival of the California Highway Patrol the driver of the Chevrolet pickup had fled the scene.
