Bakersfield, Ca. --Republican Andy Vidak has eeked out an outright win in the 16th district senate seat, with Democrat Leticia Perez conceding the race.
Chief Deputy Registrar Karen Rhea says there are a little more than 1,500 vote by mail and 500 provisional ballots to count here in Kern.
The statewide results so far...with 100% of the precincts reporting show Vidak has 51.9% of the vote. Kern County Supervisor Leticia Perez received 41.7%.
Democrat Francisco Ramirez has 3% while Paulina Miranda has 2.6%. And Peace and Freedom candidate Mohammad Arif trailed with less than 1%.
